For babies and children in hospital suffering with an apnea, they are unable to go home with their loved ones without the necessary and expensive equipment required to help them breath. For many families the reality of their child coming home seems impossible as these machines can cost several thousands of dollars.
Since 2014, the Lung Association, Alberta & NWT has been providing sleep apnea equipment to families in need in order to help get children home with their loved ones. This program is funded entirely by individual donors who believe that every family should have the opportunity to be home together. Read Hunter's story in full.
