Alberta Respiratory Disease Symposium (ARDS) 2012
On March 3rd, ARDS 2012 came to a close after a very successful day and a half at the Delta Edmonton South. Delegates from across the province enhanced their knowledge on various respiratory disease topics including clinical care and research. The final plenary session facilitated by Alberta Breathes, Alberta’s Respiratory Clinical Network and Alberta Health Services provided informative and vital information on the strategic planning and associated activities currently underway in Alberta.
This year, the conference was hosted by Alberta Breathes with The Lung Association, Alberta & NWT as title sponsor. With Chair, Dr. Brent Winston, the planning committee did a tremendous amount of work which contributed to the event’s success.
The following individuals are commended for their significant contributions:
Dr. Brent Winston, Dr. David Proud, Dr. Lisa Cameron, Dr. Irv Mayers, Dr. Warren Davidson, Cathy Good, Gina Ibach, Janis Seville, Eileen Young and Rena Sorensen.
Special thanks are extended to the many sponsors; this event cannot take place without your support.
Congratulations to the planning committee and volunteers for spearheading a great conference; thank-you for your hard work and dedication!
The next (2014) ARDS conference will join forces with the Canadian Respiratory Care Conference (CRC) in Calgary. Mark your calendars for April 24-26, 2014. We hope to see you all there.
